Jessup’s Magical Tarot
Thank you so much for supporting Jessup’s General Store! I have spent the better part of a year working on this deck and I’m quite proud! 78 designs is no small feat!
This deck is modelled after the Rider Waite Smith Deck featuring 22 major arcana cards and 4 suits (14 cards each). Each deck comes with a tuck box. The suits I have chosen correspond to the 4 elements:
Cauldrons - Cups - Water
Besoms (Witch’s Broom) - Swords - Air
Candles - Wands - Fire
Bones - Pentacles - Earth
On each card, I have included some keywords to help you toward the knowledge and guidance that you are seeking. Don’t feel like you have to be too rigid with these keywords. Just use them as a guide.
There are many different spreads that you can use for readings. If you are just beginning, the 3 card (past, present, future) is a great way to start and get comfortable. Something I like to do is pull one card in the morning for guidance for that day or anything I should pay particular attention to. Whatever system you decide on, pay attention to the order of the cards and how they might relate to each other in their positioning.
Something you’ll want to do regularly is cleanse your cards (especially if you are doing readings for other people). You can do this via smoke cleanse with sage, palo santo or incense. You can also set the deck on a selenite slab or just give the deck three good knocks with your knuckles to clear the energy from the last reading.
